The cap is relentless, but Dubas thinks he made this team better, his way. “And if anything … you can’t really ever rest.” Dubas wanted to remake the defence, and it’s different. The top four defencemen, by season’s end, should be Morgan Rielly, Barrie, Jake Muzzin and Travis Dermott after he recovers from shoulder surgery. “By adding Barrie this afternoon and Ceci in the morning, we think that we’ve (remade the defence),” said Dubas.
