According to him, the proposed legislation will focus mainly on tightening controls on alcohol advertising and marketing, especially content targeting young people and other vulnerable groups. Ghana's main airport set to be renamed"The government intends to introduce an Alcohol Control Regulations Bill in Parliament to regulate the advertisement and promotion of alcoholic beverages," Ayariga said. Ayariga emphasised that the move is not aimed at crippling businesses but at ensuring a balance between commercial interests and public health and safety. "This is not about stopping businesses from operating, but about protecting public health and ensuring responsible marketing of alcohol," he stated.
