You need to focus on one idea for at least three to four years, Nabeel said. During that time, you’re not allowed to think anything other than: I’m going to make this idea succeed. Investors need to know that you will see your idea through. Most people think that if they’re going to commit three or four years to one idea, it needs to be something earth-shattering. When pitching, entrepreneurs need to hook investors with a deeply personal story about why they are building this company.
