In many areas, canceling housing payments would be the equivalent of giving someone a $2,000 payment, if not more. HEROES Act: No $2,000 Stimulus CheckBut when we saw the details of a stimulus in the HEROES Act, which passed the House of Representatives, it did not contain a $2,000 payment. The best it did was fix a few of the oversights in the CARES Act and add another $1,200 one-time stimulus payment. Based on the stimulus check schedule, some Americans haven’t received their first check so seeing the effects may take quite some time.
