There will be plenty of NFL greats at Taylor Swift’s DirecTV “Super Saturday Night” performance in Houston tonight, but you won't find the words “Super Bowl” anywhere. Even in a press release announcing the concert, AT&T was careful with its wording: “Swift will also headline the DIRECTV Super Saturday Night in Houston on Feb. 4, the night before the Big Game,” it read. Swift’s is far from the only celebrity gala in Houston that doesn’t bear the name “Super Bowl” anywhere. Still, using the “Super Bowl” mark is something that costs companies far more than the $5 million price tag of a 30-second spot. That’s why it’s almost unheard of to see the Super Bowl moniker used anywhere other than the game itself.
