Rangers’ Bruce Bochy is one of four new skippers across the league this season, along with Chicago’s Pedro Grifol, Miami’s Skip Schumaker and Kansas City’s Matt Quatraro. But who has the toughest job in turning things around for their club? According to MLB.com’s Will Leitch, Bochy is second on his list of managers most likely to spearhead any immediate reversal. The Rangers agreed to terms with Bochy to take over as the 20th full-time manager in club history in Oct. 2022 and agreed to a three-year contract covering the 2023-25 seasons. He can no longer use a reliever for a one-batter matchup, which he did more often than any manager in baseball while with San Francisco.
