Sony, on the other hand, is strong on gaming but doesn’t have the data infrastructure of a tech giant. Casting the gaming industry as a competition between Microsoft, Google and Amazon is a good little piece of rhetoric for Microsoft, however, because the company looks a lot stronger than it does in a competition between Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo.
