Manchester United could realistically sign Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz in January, according to Shaka Hislop. German publication Bild claimed earlier this week that Ed Woodward was interested in taking Havertz to Old Trafford. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to be heavily backed in the next transfer window as he bid to bolster his attacking ranks. And former Premier League goalkeeper Hislop has tipped United to beat off competition from some of Europe’s heavyweights to snap up Havertz. “Yes, Manchester United is an option, and I think he slots in well,” Hislop told ESPN FC.
