Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is hoping to bring in attacking reinforcements when the winter window opens after a number of injuries have left his side depleted. United failed to replace Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku during the summer and Manchester Evening News, via the Metro claim Solskjaer want this situation addressed. The lengthy negotiations to sign both Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire forced United to put plans to replace Sanchez and Lukaku on hold. Ander Herrera also left United on a free transfer and no midfielder arrived at United to take the Spaniard’s spot in the squad. United are targeting at least four significant signings in 2020, but it appears unlikely any of those will come in January.
