Warner Bros.As of 30 minutes ago, per Variety, Patty Jenkins is officially back on board to helm the sequel to Warner Bros.' Wonder Woman. Oh, and it also showed that female directors could make big-budget comic book action movies as well as male directors. And, not adjusted for inflation, it's the fifth-biggest comic book movie ever in North America behind Chris Nolan's Dark Knight sequels and the first two Avengers movies. And without arguing correlation = causation, I imagine the flood of "Maybe Patty Jenkins should do it!" Jenkins' Wonder Woman sequel, presumably penned by Jenkins and Geoff Johns, will debut on Dec. 13, 2019, or one month after Walt Disney's Frozen 2 and a week before Universal/Comcast Corp.'s Wicked.
