So, naturally, I absorbed this piece of highly suspicious apocryphal news story with the proverbial pinch of salt. Mr. Pratt has also said that it is impossible for him to even fathom campaigning for the Akufo-Addo-led New Patriotic Party (NPP), let alone presume to publicly proclaim or declare the same. The not-so-subtle suggestion here is that, somehow, this clearly and unmistakably NDC-staged make-believe assassin had been dispatched by operatives inside the Akufo-Addo-led faultily tolerant New Patriotic Party government. The problem with this kind of logical or ratiocinative canard is that it simply does not fit the profile of the Danquah-Busia-Dombo-inspired New Patriotic Party that Ghanaians have known since the inception of Ghana’s Fourth Republic. Rather, this clearly deliberately staged assassination attempt on the life of Little Dramani has the unremarkable, unmistakable and criminally inextricable markings of NDC gimmickry written all over it.
