FilmMagicEllen DeGeneres, television’s reigning queen of kindness, is making headlines for lording over a toxic work culture. According to SQAD, a 30-second national spot during the Ellen DeGeneres Show cost $51,570 during the fourth quarter of 2019, compared to $34,819 for Dr. Phil, $18,704 for Live! Forbes estimates the show brings in over $35 million to Warner Bros. each year and more than $50 million to DeGeneres. Representatives for DeGeneres, Warner Bros. and NBC did not respond to requests for comment. It’s not who we are and not who we strive to be, and not the mission Ellen has set for us.
