But Coke inking a big deal with soccer star Alex Hunter may raise eyebrows in the ad industry. Hunter was introduced last year as the lead virtual character in Electronic Art's soccer game FIFA 17. With the release of the latest of the mega hit on Sept. 29, Hunter has inked a sponsorship deal with Coke. But in this case, EA and Coke plan to produce a video ad from the game - an homage to the classic 1970s Mean Joe Green Coke ad - and have it spread across social media, and even on a Time Square video billboard. Coke has a long real history [of sponsoring soccer] and this makes it more a uthentic and high profile."
