Why CS is snubbing DP William Ruto's functionsDevolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa and Deputy President William Ruto appear to have had a frosty relationship in recent weeks. Mr Wamalwa, who has missed several meetings attended by Ruto in the Western region has said the Deputy President is not assured of succeeding President Uhuru Kenyatta, citing precedents. The differences between the two hitherto political buddies heightened after Wamalwa missed meetings attended by Ruto in his home turf of Trans-Nzoia and Bungoma counties. The CS was again absent on Saturday when the DP graced the 25th anniversary thanksgiving of Father Pius Lukhale of Bungoma Diocese at Mabanga. On December 9, Wamalwa missed a fundraiser at Christ the King Cathedral Church in Bungoma town where Ruto was the chief guest.
