Yet the World Health Organisation says that only a quarter of African countries have adequate funding for vaccination programmes. "A vaccinated world protects all of us," said Prof Anthony Costello of the Institute for Global Health at University College London. If the pandemic has taught us anything, it is that we are only saved if we save others.
