It snagged a franchise-best $26 million debut, $106 million domestic cume and $353 million global total, successfully reviving the series after an unintentional six-year sabbatical. With a three-month work stoppage and any number of post-COVID challenges going forward, there’s no guarantee that Jurassic World: Dominion will make its June 11, 2021 release date next summer. Jurassic World earned a stunning $652 million (from a then-record $208 million domestic debut) in June of 2015 while legging out to $1.671 billion worldwide. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom earned $417 million domestic and $1.308 billion worldwide in the summer of 2018. If Jurassic World: Dominion can’t make summer 2021, then No Time to Die would make an ideal swap.
