Who's really to blame in Freddie Gray case

Gray died in an accident -- a tragic, even preventable accident -- and he did not die because of a criminal act. The prosecution not only failed to prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt, but as presented, the facts failed to show even evidence of a crime. But with no convictions in three trials, the criminal cases against four remaining officers seem destined to fail as well. (CNN) This week, a second Baltimore police officer, Caesar Goodson, was acquitted of all criminal charges in the death of Freddie Gray, a suspect who was fatally hurt last year while being transported, handcuffed, in a police van. Since Gray was Goodson's charge in the van, Goodson was most responsible for Gray's well-being, and in that sense perhaps most culpable of the six officers charged.
