PHOTO | COURTESYAn advert circulating on social media about a ‘White Men-Black Girls Only’ party that is scheduled to take place at the Serena Hotel in Nairobi on February 15 and 16 is a hoax. The advert, that has been doing rounds on Facebook and on Twitter with the caveat that only Kenyan ladies are invited, has been denounced as fake by the management of Serena Hotel. The hotel on Wednesday confirmed that the alleged “White Men Only” party being advertised on social media was not scheduled to take place in their premises. Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) chief executive Ezekiel Mutua has confirmed that the board received complaints about the ‘White Men and Black Girls Only’ party and commenced investigations to establish the truth. Mr Mutua also announced that the board has banned disco matanga (open-air dance parties held after burials ) at the Coast and is working with local administrators to enforce the directive.
