In February 2015, District Judge Gilham made a two-part claim to the Employment Tribunal, asking to be considered a 'worker'. District Judge Gilham has said she has had to mortgage her home to pay her legal bills and has launched a crowdfunding appeal on the CrowdJustice website. Judge Gilham said after today's ruling: 'Winning is a great relief after these seven long years.
