The opening of the Queenstown Kmart was delayed as Dominion Constructors spent "millions" fixing construction issues. A whistleblower revealed construction issues that could have led to the collapse of the Kmart Queenstown building in a fire or earthquake, a court has heard. The company that built the building, Dominion Constructors, argued for a Building Act charge against it related to the issues to be dismissed in the Queenstown District Court on Tuesday. KIRK HARGREAVES/STUFF Richard Raymond QC has argued charges against Dominion Constructors should be withdrawn. He is due to appear in Queenstown District Court on March 24.
