Pep Guardiola sarcastically swept aside questions about the officiating in Manchester City's game with Chelsea after Rodri's complaints. City were visibly irritated during the game at a number of decisions that didn't go their way, and despite a number of VAR checks for penalties none were given to the home side. Rodri complained after the game, saying: "I don't want to talk about the referee, but I don't remember a game with so many VAR checks and none for us, come on man." Those comments were put to Guardiola after the game, but the City manager wanted specifics. I don't want to talk abut the referee, but I don't remember a game with so many VAR checks and none for us, come on man.
