There are 42 college football bowl games over the next few weeks, and there are 65 players — not counting 25 from San Diego State — with local ties who will play on TV. Freshman DB Elisha Lloyd (Mission Hills) redshirted this season. Sophomore edge rusher Quinn Roff (San Marcos) has 10 tackles, four tackles for a loss and 2½ sacks. At Oregon State, freshman DB Josiah Johnson (San Diego) and PK Joe Bowman (La Costa Canyon) are redshirts. Freshman DB Javelle Brown (Mira Mesa) has played in nine games and has three tackles.
