That is a rise of 19 percent on the same period a year earlier. The best area to look for work in is unsurprisingly Paris, by far the country’s biggest city and with a dynamic economy to match. The number of jobs on offer there this autumn is a whopping 39 percent higher than the same period last year, according to the figures from RegionsJob reported in Le Parisien. Despite the growing number of jobs on offer, unemployment in France is still stubbornly high at 8.5 percent and economic growth is at a less than impressive 1.3 percent. Many jobs remain unfilled, particularly in the sectors of construction, retail, IT, and industry.
