more-inThe Legal Metrology Department has found that as much as 200 to 250 tonnes of LPG is left unutilised in cylinders per annum. “It is submitted that the unutilised LPG is released into the air. Thus, the natural resource of the government is getting wasted,” she maintained in the report sent to the Controller, Legal Metrology Department, Vijayawada. The tribal consumers return the cylinders with LPG still left in it, fearing that if the cylinder goes empty, he/she will be left unserved by the dealer for about 7-10 days. As per the plant manager’s report, of the 1.32 crore kg LPG supplied per year, as much as 61,306 kg goes unutilised.
