Apple have taken a dash of influence from Snapchat, sure, but it's clear stuffed-with-features chat apps like Facebook Messenger and China's WeChat were their main inspiration. ANALYSIS: Apple are adding oodles of features to iMessage this spring, so many that it will soon look a lot like Facebook Messenger. This has been happening for a while, but conversations around it generally focus on chatbots - computers you can talk to through a messaging app. Siri is essentially a chatbot, but it doesn't live within a messaging app - or any app.
