It was a tiny restaurant with only 12 tables, but it taught Ang precious lessons in operating a food business. Ang powered the strategy of King Chef that targeted young Tao-kes — a Chinese term for “boss” — and their families. King Chef’s top three locations are their two Banawe restaurants and Lucky Chinatown Branch. Despite these challenges, King Chef’s family spirit, discipline and hard work kept the restaurants going strong. I just wished to have a happy family and a successful business that can support us and help others.
