'When Seconds Count, Minutes Don't Matter': FL Sheriff Supports Arming Teachers in Schools

A commission looking into the Parkland, Florida school shooting is recommending arming teachers and bolstering school security. The Associated Press reported that the "Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Public Safety Commission voted 13-1 to recommend the Legislature allow the arming of teachers." State Rep. Ted Deutch tweeted that there isn't evidence armed teachers will result in safer schools. There is no evidence that arming teachers will make our students safer.
