Tan has taken a step back in the running of the business to allow his son Datuk Seri Robin Tan to run the operations of the group. His business resume is filled with sales of businesses that have been classified a trophy asset in the past. The cheaper prices offered by U-Mobile, Tan says, has been noticed by the Government. With its large cashflow, the gaming company has reaped great reward for Tan, who purchased the business from the Government in 1985.
