Ben Wheeler spared embarrassment of worst ever bowling figures in T20 internationalsGETTY IMAGES Kane Williamson offers support to Ben Wheeler during his tough night with the ball against Australia on Friday. Black Caps bowler Ben Wheeler was awfully close to creating some unwanted history on a memorable Friday night at Eden Park when records tumbled during Australia's remarkable five-wicket victory. But no bowler suffered more than left-armer Wheeler, whose desperate final figures of 0-64 from 3.1 overs were just five runs shy of the worst ever bowling figures in T20 internationals. So Wheeler was perhaps spared the embarrassment of conceding the most runs in the history of T20 internationals, but he joins the likes of England's James Anderson, Sri Lanka's Sanath Jayasuriya and Australia's Andrew Tye in joint-third on that list. South Africa's Kyle Abbott is second on the list after his figures of 1-68 against the West Indies in 2015.
