WhatsApp has launched a new feature that allows users to mention others in their stories or status updates. According to the company, users can now tag close friends in their stories, and the mentioned person will have the option to re-share that story. Additionally, WhatsApp has introduced a like feature for stories and statuses. Previously, users could only see the number of views on a story, but now they can like it, similar to liking a Facebook post. Whenever a user mentions someone in a story or status, WhatsApp will send a notification to the mentioned individual, informing them that they have been tagged, and they will also be able to re-share the story.
