WABetaInfo reports that the Facebook-owned messaging service is working on fingerprint authentication for WhatsApp Web. More specifically, it looks like you’ll need to open WhatsApp on your phone and scan your fingerprint to initiate a web session on your PC. Right now, WhatsApp Web simply requires you to scan a QR code in your browser to initiate a new session.
