Both parties have denied the user data was used to target people with Pro-Trump material during the campaign. Zuckerberg still holds roughly 400 million in Facebook shares. Zuckerberg released a public statement on his Facebook page, where he addressed the recent concerns over user privacy and data protection protocol. He accepted responsibility for the incident, saying Facebook will further limit the user data it provides third party apps, audit and ban them for misuse of user data and inform affected users. Facebook has roughly 2.2 billion monthly active users.
