The circular economy, said Ms Michel, can sound complicated and many still don’t understand the term. “We see the circular economy as an excellent practical framework for approaching the problems of the climate crisis, but there is a gap in understanding from people both young and old about what the Circular Economy is. This realisation led her to set up the Ellen Macarthur Foundation and promote the idea of the circular economy. But with the circular economy, there are loads of opportunities to do things differently.
