Despite the controversy surrounding Manny Pacquiao’s loss to Jeff Horn last Saturday, the reality is that Pacquiao’s career has been altered and his future as a boxer is very much in doubt. In the minutes after the decision, Pacquiao said he respected the judges’ choice, but in the days afterward, the eight-division titlist has complained, via RingTV.com, that he feels like he was “set up” and that “we won the fight. Either way, Pacquiao (59-7-2, 38 KOs), a 6/1 favorite heading into the fight, has a variety of choices as he moves into the future. Pacquiao, after all, will turn 39 in December, and he’s been in some wars during his 68-fight career. Plus, Pacquiao has had good success in rematches, beating Juan Manuel Marquez twice (and losing once) after they fought to a draw in 2004, knocking out Erik Morales twice after losing to him in 2005, and beating Bradley twice after losing a disputed decision in 2012.
