Women's needs at work are typically overlooked when it comes to office design. Aside from turning down the air con, there is a raft of other changes we can introduce to make our work environments more female-friendly. "There's no way I could work anywhere that doesn't have a breastfeeding room," says Lloyd, who recently gave birth to her first child. "It's not uncommon that we will have conversations with employers where they say, 'we can turn this meeting room into a breastfeeding room', but it's not lockable and there's no fridge," she says. The Australian Breastfeeding Association provides useful information for employers about how to support breastfeeding mothers at work.
