Special interest groups and persons with disabilities, who weren’t represented in the National Assembly as per the previous draft, now have four guaranteed slots of two men and two women. The youth have two slots being a man and a woman in the National Assembly, but the two slots in the Senate have been scrapped. The holder of that position must have at least 25 per cent of the seats in the national assembly. In the meantime, the Cabinet — which is accountable to both the President and the National Assembly — shall remain in office until the president-elect is sworn in.
