Strawberries in hanging basketsIn last week’s Get Growing (August 27) we recommended not planting strawberries in hanging baskets as it’s difficult to keep them thoroughly watered. I’ve been planting a tray of mesclun mix every week and keeping them in my mini greenhouse. Also underway in the greenhouse are punnets of spinach, rocket and lettuce plus a small patch of radishes direct sown in the garden. 123RF/Stuff Grow mint in a pot so the runners don’t invade the rest of the garden.
