Any public company would have fired Roger Goodell long ago—in fact, three years ago after the Ray Rice matter. Let’s remember what happened. An NFL arbitrator, retired federal judge Barbara Jones, found that Mr. Rice, of the Baltimore Ravens, did not mislead NFL chief Mr. Goodell about the severity of his domestic violence conviction when Mr. Goodell punished him with a two-game suspension.
