Imagine if all the plastic items in the supermarket were made with recycled plastic and could be reused, recycled, or composted. Using recycled plastic in everyday products is a key to a “closed loop” system that values plastic as a material. That said, no business nor sector can create a circular economy, nor can we simply join one. We welcome a collaboration with the Government to support the development of its plastic packaging product stewardship scheme. Moving towards a nationally accepted recycling system would help manufacturers use this clear labelling system, which would then help consumers identify waste disposal options.
