In 2005, she began work on her third album 'Safe Trip Home', which was released in 2008. Dido also said she didn't want to tour the album as she found it difficult to perform the songs, which were written about her father's death. Dido eventually stopped live performances altogether for 15 years. "I have been having a lovely time, being with my family, seeing friends, seeing the world," Dido said.
