Two people have died at Mutiny festival in Hampshire amid warnings that a “dangerous, high-strength” batch of drugs had been in circulation. One of those who died was Georgia Jones, 18, from Havant, who had taken two pills. Fifteen festivalgoers were admitted to hospital on Saturday night and organisers cancelled the second day of the festival. The pills believed to have been involved in the deaths were “silver Audi” high-strength ecstasy tablets. Fiona Measham, a director of the drug-testing charity The Loop, told the Guardian the deaths marked “a sad start to the festival season”, and called for more drug-testing facilities at festivals.
