Dozens of publishers, thousands of retailers and hundreds of thousands of customers worldwide are expected to take part. Literary-oriented publishers are also in on the act with titles appealing to older readers and fans with tastes that extend beyond traditional comics genres. Typically stores allow customers to choose a few titles from the free comics table, so select carefully and keep in mind that popular titles might run out early in the day. Leftover stock usually goes into the discount bins in the weeks following Free Comic Book Day.
