This October (3-16th), the Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea sees a new exhibition from the surrealist artist Philip Colbert. A display of visual art and Colbert's first painting exhibition, the show is comprised of eight large-scale Technicolour canvases. Despite a few chafing moments, this world-premiere play explores many themes, questions and concerns currently bubbling at the surface on 21st-century life. A melange of digital and analog practices, the images are generated and “blurred” digitally through Photoshop filters, before being printed and wall-mounted. Set across two floors at Simon Lee Gallery in Mayfair (until October 7), it marks his third exhibition with the gallery to date.
