The FTC has sent out nearly 100 letters to celebrity Instagram influencers, reminding them that they need to be more transparent with their ads. Celebrities have huge followings on the social app, some of them numbering into the tens of millions. It’s an open secret that celebrities are paid to endorse products on their social media profiles. Up until now, no celeb or major influence was required to label a picture of a product as an ad.
