Going door-to-door, Buttigieg, who was about to turn 26, met recently enlisted young men who told him they wouldn’t be around to caucus because they were due at basic training. Though it was after 10 p.m., an elderly woman opened the door for the young men, who stood on her doorstep shivering and covered in snow.
