Ms Wairimu Brooks cautioned that those affected should not sign any documents without talking to a lawyer on the implications of signing or refusing to sign such the papers. Ms Wairimu Brooks added: “Kenyans who find themselves under ICE custody should not try to represent themselves because one may only get one shot for bond and removal hearings can be lengthy. Ms Wairimu Brooks added: “If you are raided and have children, let the officer know. ICE officers have also been given lots more powers and discretion by the Trump administration,” she said.
