It is at once risible and absurd for the former President to accuse the Akufo-Addo-led government of the New Patriotic Party of planning to destabilize the country during next year’s general election when, as clearly articulated by the Adentan Member of Parliament, if memory serves yours truly accurately, it is actually Mr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, the National Chairman of Mr. Mahama’s National Democratic Congress’ party, who has been caught on audiotape by the vigilant and diligent operatives of our National Security Agency (NSA) criminally scheming with some of his associates to destabilize the country in the runup to Election 2020. Indeed, even as Mr. Buaben Asamoah has credibly indicated, it clearly appears that having arrived at the inescapably accurate decision that the former President has not even a Chinaman’s chance at winning next year’s general election, that Mr. Mahama would resort to prefabricating the sort of whole cloth’s texture and yarn of mendacity to make his imminent crushing defeat more palatable to swallow, as well as garner the vacuous sympathy of diehard supporters and sympathizers. But, of course, we all know that Ghanaians are rather too savvy and far more than politically sophisticated enough to be so facilely taken for a ride.
