If ever there was a wakeup call that the information technology industry needs to change, the recent Equifax attack was it. So the question becomes, has the cost of doing IT effectively simply become too much for traditional business models? Answering these questions will require undertaking a serious overhaul in regard to our approach to IT as it pertains to corporate culture, technology and business models. In the past, the focus had been on making business processes cheaper and more efficient, with enterprise data being treated as little more than a byproduct. So what will be the cost of doing IT right?
