With developments regarding Iran and the Middle East on fast forward recently, voices are heard speaking of winds of change in Iran. We are also only a week away from July 14th, marking the second year of the Iran nuclear deal signing. Considering Raisi’s notorious role in the 1988 massacre of over 30,000 political prisoners, and a massive campaign launched by activists of the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) inside Iran, Khamenei’s candidate stood no chance. In an attempt to fabricate the final vote tally, the mullahs’ regime boasted a 70+ percent voter participation.
