As a second-year undergrad student at the University of Toronto, I was keen to experience the show. The store manager politely asked me to not ‘bug Punch’ since he knew that the Canadiens were my favourite team! After moving to Toronto in 2006, I saw Gale Garnett at a distance on the street and at the YMCA. We won tickets to see Steve Earle, one of our favourite musicians, play a very intimate show in George’s living room. Here was the guy who told him he couldn’t go backstage at the Simple Minds show in the third row of his concert.
